We reap what we sow

Point of order: i'm already insane
i am dust blown away over the edge....Van Hunt DUST

I have heard and believe that Karma is a mutha fucka. I also believe that even those that act without conscious, have one and that it eats at them when they do foul shit. That kind of makes me happy, but sad for folk like that at the same time. I mean, maybe not yet, but the foul shit GWB has implemented will come back to haunt his azz. Just like the foul shit Putin is doing in Georgia, Its gone come back to haunt his azz. Or those that take and never give, failing to count the blessings that they once had. Or the deceitful that select to not acknowledge that they be the ones who think not getting caught in a lie is the same as telling the truth.

This is also true for those that play with the hearts of other, for the fathers who do not call their sons back, or the mothers who try and figure out why their daughters do not want to have anything to do with them. For those that play with the feelings of others, who eventually cannot understand why folks feel the way they do about them. For those who expect others to keep their word but don’t do so themselves and even get upset when folks don’t. For them that become the lonely when they once had companionship. For them that feel empty even with all of the money they have amassed and use drinks to worship their heart, when they don’t have loot to purchase gas. For those that loose their jobs, when they know the reason they lost them was their own fault.

For those that say they have no sexual desire but touch and play with themselves every night. For those that call others fools, crazy or out their names and won’t speak or have a desire to speak to others until they want or need something. For those who fail classes and don’t except the responsibility of studying for the classes they pay for. For those that go hungry for they are too lazy to cook. For those that believe America is a democracy when it is a republic for they do not have a desire to read the constitution. For those who claim to be godly but are the devil in personification whether it is via adultery, stealing, murder, rape or destroying that which belongs to another.

Yep this is for you. For taking for granted kindness in all respects and understanding that it returns to be the greatest pain. Especially when other use kindness in a humble attempt to reflect who they are in soul and spirit. The pain folk feel as a result of that is a consequence of their own lies, rather it regards weapons of mass destruction, promises to god, or regime change.

Yep it is sad, but we reap what we sow. See we plant seeds, and the way we nurture them will determine the plants they foster, That’s why I cant understand how folks act, or can act confused or miffed when things in their life go a stray; or events occur and act as if they are amazed. For in the long time, we all get what we nurture.

Because regardless of whom we are and where we come from, we all have dirt behind our ears. I know I do, but I can admit my dirt freely, some of us cant, and we will continue to have sleepless nights, for we prefer to do battle with our conscious. Especially you Mr. President, for now since Russian President Vladimir Putin has adopted your Neo-con stance of liberating South Ossetia as we did Iraq to encourage regime change. So for you and anyone else, if the shoe fits, wear it. Not me. Like I said in the first paragraph, karma is a bitch and we reap what we sow. vote

What's up Doc! You are certain to stir a few souls, ruffle a few feathers, and affirm for those that have been called spades...that they truly are. For some reason ppl don't (when they're doing something foul) anticipate or seem to take into consideration that their day is coming. I think it's a false sense of being "untouchable". And when a stroke of bad luck, poor health, financial hardship, broken relationships, fall in their lap...they still don't realize it's because of a seed they've dropped in the ground a long time ago...Preach on Priest!

Karma is a bitch. But you forgot, sometimes we all pay the price. 370 Billion dollar deficit this year. More than twice of what it was last year. Thanks Mr. President

RealHustla said...

The idea of Karma is cool, but only on a smaller, person to person scale. When it comes to government leaders, I prefer to believe that world leaders are just tools of prophecy. That recent turns of events have to happen in order for The Great I Am's plan to come to fruition. I even believe that a person can become immune to Karma if they change and focus their minds on Him or at least something greater than they themselves are. That's just my two cents.

I'm truly amazed at myself for never visiting your blog. I always say to myself, "he always comes over to your spot, you should visit his blog sometime soon." Boy, have I been missing out. I'm hooked and this is only my first time reading.

It blows my mind on how right you are about some of your observations. For example, I am definitely that person who goes hungry because she is too lazy to cook lol.

I do believe in Karma myself and strongly believe that people can only get away with doing the god forsaken things they do for so long.

Any how, I will definitely be "reading" you, the next time you blog.

P.s. I responded to your blog post on my crazy phone :)

You know how firm a believer I am in Karma..I know i've done some things in the past that warrant consequences but dayum I haven't done that much dirt! We all get it when we least expect it..just one big circle of Karma tag..*sigh*

BTW, I reposted my posting on grandmothers - I hope you visit and give your opinion.

TORRANCE: U feeling a bit messianic today? Enjoy it while it lasts. KINEHURA, we say.

Karma is a good concept to live by. So's the Golden Rule or any number of the teachings of Jesus.

Too many sociopaths walking around for me to believe that actions and down-the-line reactions have an r=1. Or even much greater than r=0.4 George W. Bush is a perfect example. He's completely affectless. What's going to happen to him that could ever equal the havoc he's wrought. Slow pancreatic cancer. Not even in the same county. He has no idea what he's done.

If Karma or whatever version of Jesus they worship down here where I live were the moral pole star, things would be a lot different and a lot better.

Me, I try to live right. I try not to do anything gratuitous or impolite or with malice. I screw up sometimes.

My life is finite. That's no good. And I didn't even ask for that one!

Probably, my balance of good and bads deeds is red in many, many peoples' ledgers. I hope it's black in a greater number of ledgers. What more can I do? Somehow, I doubt there's a State Bank of Karma. If there were I'd go down to the shelter and feed the homeless right now. I'm going to go swimming with my son instead.

It's a question of how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, I reckon.

Your spreading good food for the soul here Raw Dawg. Looking at the big world and our little part in it? Sometimes it seems like a ripple in the pond. But passing the seed along does make a difference. We just sometimes never see it.

Cool post. Back to meditating on "Reflections of a Mote of Dust" for me (not like I ever stopped)... Third paragraph is quite profound.

--We all want to be masters of that itty bitty tiny dot.

Sigh!

[Be interesting to see how this all plays out as we approach the election...I, personally, tend to view the Russia/Georgia situation with both skepticism and suspicion--conspiracy theorist that I am. ;-) JOKE. Totally with you about karma.]

I loved that and you are so right. I have never understood not giving and helping those in need. I am convinced the fact that I am married to the concept of giving back because some one gave and helped me (paying it Forward so to speak- that's a double entandra(sp) for those who know me). I think that is the marriage that has brought many blessings in my life.

I have found the more I give the more He gives to me.

Believing in Karma feels good when we someone who has harmed us or others get paid back in spades.

Ah, if only it were so consistent... known too many folks who did more shit and got away with it, and seen too many children and adults who never did anything nearly equal to the victimization that they were put through.

And read about or seen too many 'leaders' get away with mass murder and died happily in old age.

For the real evil doers, I can find solace that God exists, and He got plans for their azzes in the afterlife.

Well Karma is really just the law of life /living! For as long as I can remember my mom and other family members ,elders ,people that looked up to have stated "What goes around comes around" OR "Life is full circle" OR "You reap what you sow"! I am well familiar with that way of thinking. However I realize I cant control the nor dictate the actions and behavior of others. I can only control and dictate my own behavior. We all have to anser to a higher power.Noone is perfect .Life can bring both good times, choices and bad times and choices. Hopefully as you grow as a person you learn to do better, and you treat people as you want to be treated! You do what you do because you want to ,and it comes from the heart ,and hopefully others appreciate it.If its not reciprocated than you move on knowing that you did your best as a person ,and thats all you can do!

I wrote about karma last month, if you have a moment I'd love to hear your views on my views.

http://teanhoneybread.blogspot.com/2008/07/karma-conundrum.html

As a yogi I have a bit of a different perspective, not saying that I'm above wishing some hateful shit on someone who crosses me, I too am a work in progress. I just think karma becomes a way of distancing oneself from accountability. The undertones of this post lead me to believe there will be a pre-emptive strike long before reaping of said bad crop.

msladyDeborah said...

Do you remember the song by Funkadelic/Parliment, Can You Get To That?

The first verse came to mind when I read this post.

"I once had life or rather life had me, I was one among many or at least I seemed to be. Then I read an old quotation in a book just yesterday, said you gonna reap just what you sow, the debts you make, you have to pay."

That definitely applies here.

Unfortunately, the individual or individuals who are responsible for sowing chaos, confusion and mayhem, often end up having additional victims because of the back round.

But I feel you on this one T!

Doesn't God and/or Fate, I pray to both, have a sense of humor?

This post was on point! I know so many folks who scoff at the fact that we all get what's coming to us whether it be good or bad. I can only imagine what kind of demons will arise for Bush once he gets out of office. He may already be reaping the "fruits" of his "labor" as we speak...but it won't become painstakingly obvious until AFTER he's out of office. His physical health already seems to be in decline...he just looks...OLD and broke down...smh

I am not a believer in Karma, and I believe some people like Putin will get away with things because he is that smart. I have been reading up on the dude of late and he reminds me of the mad scientist we would see in comic books. Insanely smart but never managed to be completely defeated.

The only way to counter Putin is to get the Russian people involved though that is never going to happen when Putin is seen as a folk hero for restoring Russia, so what's next?

You are so right on point. I try to do the right thing, not just because it's right but because I don't like stuff comng back at me and I do have a conscience.

I've read some of the responses and I'm going to disagree with Realhustla. I don't think it's a matter of leaders being "tools to fulfill a prophecy". Though I do believe in the prophecy I also believe that the nature of people and their "progression" is predictable. Greed, sex, power and violence. It never changes.

The ultimate Karma is the green house effect. The ultimate Karma is armageddon because the "I" in us can't get past the "me" to get to the "we" and what is best for "us".
