It has always been in my Family from Pops (kicking Maurice White – EWF out his band in HS), to my great Aunt, Evelyn ‘Whip” Young leaving home and 16 and causing a ruckus in our family to travel and play Alto Sax with BB. King and cutting cross Isaac Hayes yard each day from elementary school seeing he lived up the street from me.

When I lived in New York, I went to Louis Armstrong Middle School and it was actually a few blocks away form his house! He was born in New Orleans but then moved to NY.

He's from my digs.
My dad's family and Elvis' family lived in the same duplex at age 4 (they were the same age).
My dad always called him a pussy when they were kids. He and Elvis laughed about that together later on.
Elvis would send him and my mom backstage tickets to Vegas shows and they would hang out some. They had visited Graceland (but with Elvis there).
Elvis gave my dad's best friend (who happened to be Elvis' best friend early on, a somewhat infamous attorney from Tupeolo) a 50 something Thunderbird that last time I knew, was still in the family.
I heard a rumor that a Million was offered and turned down.
Darryl Worley is from here, but I couldn't name a song he has done.
No matter where the Allman Brothers are from... They Rock!
