  3. Certainly at this point, the police must realize that there are cameras lurking around every corner. Do they simply lack the self-control to taper their behavior or are they that deranged that they do not care?

  4. It is sad. Man's inhumanity toward man. When we have no value for life...any life... then these acts of violence play out all over the world.

As I said to you before each time I see violence committed by anyone I am convinced that it is to draw Us back to our humanity. That when we choose love over fear, this violence will end because to harm someone would be like harming yourself.

Perhaps I am too romantic and my heart is not hard enough. Maybe its because I've not been shot or stabbed. Or just a person who believes in the redeeming, restorative power of love.

This is indeed sad. My sadness isn't for the obvious solely, but that we have unwittingly become spectators to violence for protection and to raise awareness...and still the violence continues.

What is my part in all of this and how can I help? That's where the sadness takes me.

  5. You know I carry a small video camera with me at all times hoping that i never have to use it for this, but I know that it's a possibility with people like these who have such contempt for the power that they have that they have to abuse it.

It's true that I don't really know the whole story here but I do know that Officers So & So looked like they haven't missed a meal in 20 years and if they had to use such force over 120lb 14yr old then they deserve whatever's coming to them and probably more since I'm sure very little will happen to them.

  6. That's deep! And it's like they don't even care. The boy couldn't even stand up by himself yet they felt the need to hold him by his neck and demand he put his arms behined his back?
messed up, them two BIG mans saying "you don;'t know what happened..." Yeah the one likkle bwoy looked like he was some real threat to they health.

    unimpressed.

  7. Kelso introduced me to this blog and here I came.

Few years back they had a high speed chase in Orange County. I got home to watch the end of it.

They had the SUV blocked in solid, the fellow driving was in his early twenties and unarmed. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but he backed up and did a little damage, nothing serious and he wasn't going anywhere and they peppered him full of holes.

There were alternative methods available. They had the time. I saw it as murder, for his vehicle was not aimed at a person, just property damage ensued.

Never heard anything since about this.

You kind of have to wonder.

  8. This is disturbing on so many levels....

  9. it's shameful and what's worse is the punishment will probably never fit the crime...

  10. The video is disturbing, but there is no information as to what happened prior, nor the mental or physical condition of the child.
I do not understand how someone can cast fault onto the officers by watching a few minutes of video. The officers and the child appeared calm and deliberate.

Oh well, thankfully I've never served on a jury. The prosecution would hate me.

  11. Not enough info prior to the vid to let me say the cops were wrong for real.

  12. @cinmike

    Seriously?

He didn't have a weapon...so what possibly could have transpired that caused two big beefy policemen to beat and choke a 14 year old nearly to death...naw.

I kept watching the video saying to myself someone needs to call the cops and then I realize...oh tey are the cops.

  13. So not only did they beat this BOY (mind you) like he was man, they choked him out as well. These two mammoth MEN cops couldn't handle that little BOY without beating the hell out of him? Cowards!

I take it you are not a parent - parents feel different about kids period. when i grew up two men that large would not need to do such

The Single Black Woman I agree completely

  15. @The Single Black Woman,

What we saw was a kid being choked, and restrained by two cops, thats it.

Nothing prior to that, and that what I want to know if there is a cause, and yes there is a good enough reason to get your butt whipped for trying some one the wrong way, as the young and ignorant are prone to explore.

    @Torrance Stephens - All-Mi-T

Your right I am not a parent but I have had enough experiance dealing with knucklehead kids and their parents who want to cry about their poor "baby" aint never hurt nobody.

Mean while "baby" done shot up some one else's baby, raped some else's baby, rob an little old lady, sold drugs, does drugs, skiped school, beat up people and on and on.

That video doesnt show any halo on this kid for me to give him the benifit of the doubt.

like i said as a parent we see all kids as our children or that our children can be in same situation. working with kids and rasing them night and day are not even comparable
