Israel: Like Apartheid and 1960s South, If You Black You called Nigger and Beat Too

Maybe it is me but it strikes me as strange that first, all we hear about with respect to civil and human rights being violated pertains to Syria and there is no mention of Sudan, and two that for some reason the Obama Administration, the Congress and mainstream media has been extremely hush hush about Israel. Whether it involves the $1 billion for Israeli missile projects the US House of Representatives allocated for the 2013 fiscal year for Israel’s missile systems via the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee appropriated USD 947 million for the Iron Dome, “David's Sling” and a long-range Arrow missile program; or how recent actions of the Zionist nations, in both statement and action are reminiscent of Apartheid and the southern United States circa 1960s. The prior in addition to the $5billion a year that Israel already receives in grants and don’t have to pay back.

This is very disturbing to me in particular when our politicians want to jump around and turn up about being ready to protect human rights in Syria, yet seem to have money for Israel and not the millions of American citizens suffering at home. Not to forget all the time proclaiming we should stand for what is just around the world as the preeminent nation state in the world but say nothing when Jews call Africans nigger and beat them violently like the righteous citizens of Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi did to African Americans. Susan Rice even has the audacity to get on her high horse suggesting action in Syria will never even mentioning the Sudan or what African immigrants are suffering under the rule of the world’s only Zionist state.

In the predominately black neighborhood of Hatikva large groups of nationalist protesters who are vehemently open against African migrants have instigated a reign of terror similar to Nazi and KKK hate groups of past around the world. The Jewish protesters claim the Africans are responsible for a rise in crime, and were holding signs that read "This is not Africa" and "Stop talking, start expelling". They even yelled "Blacks out!" and "Send the Sudanese back to Sudan".

The mob set fires and smashed the windows of shops owned by Eritrean migrants, threw rocks at them and violently beat up Africans walking through the streets. According to one Nigerian witness, "A group of about 10 or 15 boys stopped one black kid cycling on his bike. They pulled him off and were punching and kicking him in his head. The police just stood and watched until it got really out of control." The even beat women carrying their infants and stopped buses to search for African passengers.

The United States gives more military aid to Israel than to any other country, although there is really not in the national interests of the United States or any net strategic advantage to the U.S. in sending weapons to Israel when compared to spending the same amount of money on improvements at home. Why is the question because the state of Israel and Zionism is the antithesis of democracy? Factually speaking, Zionism is a racist political philosophy in the same vein as Nazism, and Apartheid. As a nation, the daily actions often consist of those we once saw in South Africa. These include millions of non-Jews who are under curfew and blockade, starving and brutalized, in the Middle East's only colonized state. This is not a wild exaggeration when we study the writings and speeches of racist Vladamir Jabotinsky, father of revisionist Zionism.

Zionism like racism espouses an independent and sovereign Jewish state, in a land where there is no Jewish majority and exists only insofar as it has been allowed to expelled the people of Palestine from their homes, although it is against their basic human right guaranteed by Article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Meaning it is impossible for such to be a democratic principle when only one community and people benefit from such and not others. I can say this with ease being a logically thinking person since facts demonstrate that Zionism absolutely requires that Palestinians and even Africans, as non-Jews, were forced to leave in 1948 and never be allowed to return - blatant racism.

What these recent attacks on Africans show are that all who are not Jewish in a Zionist state will be confronted with considerable discrimination. It is even more lucid and totally obvious the force behind the policies of the present and all past Israeli governments in Israel and in the occupied lands was designed and implemented to assure the predominance of Jews over other racial-ethnic groups. For when a powerful nation like Israel that “kills hundreds of civilians from another ethnic group; confiscates their land; builds vast housing complexes on that land for the exclusive use of its own nationals” and does not offer equal protection to non Jews, that is not democracy but racist.

What has just happened and continues today, without any major media news coverage is racism at its worse. In particular when speakers at such events include prominent politicians, like Knesset ministers Miri Regev, Danny Danon, Yari Lev
in and Michael Ben-Ari. Ms Regev during here address to the crowd even described African immigrants as a "cancer in our society". Danny Danon, a member of Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party, wrote in a Facebook status later the same evening: "Israel is at war. An enemy state of infiltrators was established in Israel, and its capital is south Tel Aviv."

There are around 60,000 African asylum seekers in Israel, most from Eritrea and Sudan. Although she did not retract her statements, Ms Regev stated "Israel should adopt the US protocol of returning infiltrators to the border within 72 hours ... Jews and Israelis are scared of living in their country," she said although only non-Jews were the objects of violence. Mr. Danon's desires to deport the city's African residents “to detention facilities and remove Africans from population centers".

Obama and Susan Rice cannot turn a blind eye to this as well as the average American citizen. Fromm my perspective, I cannot have a disdain for what is going on in Syria without have the same bad taste for Israel and their treatment of Africans or the massive deaths occurring daily in the Sudan (more than Syria). Racism and xenophobia are huge problems in Israel society that we ignore as a nation. We should hold Israel’s feet to the flame as we do other nations, making them abide by the 1951 UN Refugees convention since Israel is one of the signatory nations. If we do not, we will at least learn something, that In Israel if you are black, the call you nigger too and beat you like the KKK and white citizens councils did across the South in America.

Americas Biggest Threat is EU Sovereign Debt Crisis not AQAP

Okay, let’s get this straight. The injudicious assertions promulgated by political charlatans on both side of the aisle from Obama to Congressman Pete King that America’s biggest threat is Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) is feculent and even dangerous. In fact it is one of the more laughable jactitations proffered in recent years and ranks up there with the suggestion that America is post racial or even that Wall Street and bankers can police themselves.
In all honesty as things stand, our truest and greatest threat is the European sovereign debt crisis and not AQAP. For if the chickens come home to roost, with the chickens in this sense being the massive preponderance of complex financial papers and derivatives which remain without a true valuation and inundate the global markets, and then we have seen nothing yet in terms of an economic disaster. I means, what is on the horizon given what is occurring in Europe will eventually demonstrate that what we just observed with regards to JP Morgan-Chase and Jamie Dimon will be just a drop in the bucket.

But instead of giving these events the attention they require and other signals, we ignore them and continue with the small thinking myopia that would advance a HR 1838 (SWAP Bailout prevention act) on behalf of Republicans or an HR 3784 (Gas Price Spike Act of 2012) on behalf of democrats. The later under whom oil companies would be taxed at 50 to 100 percent of profits considered to be “higher than reasonable.” Notwithstanding other distractions whether they concern Mayor Cory Booker’s honest remarks on private equity or the President’s personal opinion on Gay marriage, we never seem to be able to be proactive and address real issues that will impact us more than any of the aforementioned in aggregate. Fact is gay marriage has nothing to do with the US economy.

Bush, followed by the Obama administration implemented massive stimulus that were supposed to grow the economy. Unfortunately, such has not manifested as promised by the Keynesian heavy Obama administration (Bernanke, Krugman and Geithner). By their logic the stimulus was supposed to produce fifty cents of GDP growth for each stimulus dollar spent. But instead of increasing demand, what they did was discourage consumption and investment by the private sector who based on all this talk, rightly expect tax hikes to finance the stimulus somewhere in the near future. Meaning that the stimulus actually squashed the private sector spending it desired to stimulate.

This may be why the CBO recently reported the strong chance of another US recession soon. They predict that the US Gross National Product (GNP) will go negative for at least two quarters, given the eventually ending of the Bush-era tax cuts, the extended unemployment benefits and the reinstating of the payroll tax rates back up to 6.2 percent from the current 4.2 percent. Not to mention that currently as a nation, we spend $454 billion a year just on servicing the interest on the national debt alone. Then there is the $642 billion spent on the Afghan war (this includes this year’s spending). And let us not forget the 11 million homeowners in the US with in excess of $800 billion in negative home equity and you can see we have a big mess on our hands without the problems in Europe.

Starting with the UK, Britain's economy contracted by 0.3% in the first three months of the year, faster than previously thought and pushing the country back into another recession and equal to the contraction in the final quarter of 2011. There has been no growth in manufacturing after last year the sector exhibited a decline of 0.7% at the end of last year. The banking sector also contracted, by 0.3%.

Then there is Spain. Spanish banks’ total loan losses could range between 218 billion and 260 billion Euros, more than currently expected according to estimates by the Institute of International Finance. Spain’s economy is in critical condition with 23 percent unemployment of which 50% percent of those under 24 are unemployed (the highest in the Euro zone) and they are in their second recession in three years. Spain like all the European countries that, are uncompetitive, have high debt levels, and suffer from low savings rates that have been forced down in over the past years - one reason why 16 Spanish banks were downgraded last week.

The picture is no different in Italy which saw Moody‘s Investors Service downgraded 26 Italian banks, where investors are needing higher risk premiums for Italian government bonds on fears that Greece may exit from the euro zone and Italy's double-dip recession . Italy is estimated to have around a debt burden of €1.9 trillion (about 120% the size of its gross domestic product), or about $2.6 trillion).

The reality is all the talking and meeting the G-8 just did wasn’t anything and empty, especially without Russia, China and India in attendance. The realty remains that a Greek euro exit is very likely and soon. If it happens, it will lead to runs on Spanish and Italian banks, resulting in the need for the ECB to give out more credit to keep the banks from collapsing. Although the problem isn’t Greece, but rather that Greek banks are undercapitalized. Greece cannot crash the euro zone alone. But what it may lead to can. If they are allowed to leave, the same will be true for other nations.

Ben Bernanke and the politicians in Washington DC speak of recovery while the facts do not support their contention. Not to forget that it was in the 1970s when Nixon enabled bankers and politicians to print and spend at liberty without a gold standard and a Central Bank owned by Wall Street, has resulted in a country where the cost of things we need to live have risen at twice the rate of our income. The truth is that real inflation has been running 5% higher than government is telling us in spite of what is being told to us by Paul Krugman (that there are very few Americans living on a fixed income being impacted by Bernanke’s zero interest rate policy). Maybe this is why Krugman is so bent on another $4 trillion of debt and a debt to GDP ratio of 130% to get our economy back on track.

Yes we cannot see the big picture. The real US deficit is over $5 trillion. Our policy appears to ignore Greece, which after several years of austerity are in the midst of a full-blown economic depression and they still do not have a balanced budget. The Greek economy has contracted by 8.5 percent over the past 12 months and the unemployment rate in Greece is up to 21.8 percent, is already experiencing a depression that will only get worse. If or when they leave, investor confidence in the euro zone will be damaged forever. Already as a nation America has more government debt per capita than Greece, Portugal, Italy, Ireland or Spain.

Europe is our largest trading partner, especially as it pertains to exports. Yet our efforts are all over the place. Paul Ryan supposed spending cuts really only slow spending to 3 percent annually while Obama increases spending 4.5 percent a year in his budget. No to mention that like the EU zone banks who are undercapitalized and heavily burden with the uncertainty of how much banks actually hold in bad assets, and the potential need for the government to bail them out at the expense of a bigger debt burden, the same is true for US banks.

Economic growth is stalled both in Europe and in America plus there seems to be a lack of concern here and little if any coordination between the EU and US. None of the nations including the US are recalibrating either fiscal or monetary policy which is a must. Reform not stimulus is the answer if we look at the real world examples here and abroad. Both the ECB and Federal Reserve seem to focus on the nations and not the banks and the Obama administration has only tackled the issue from a short term perspective. So what there is a newly revealed Al Qaeda video that calls on followers to launch cyber attacks on Western targets that has Sens. Susan Collins and Joe Lieberman, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, scared, it aint got nothing on what’s going on across the pond and is nowhere as big a threat to America as the European sovereign debt crisis. Take note you heard it here first.

Washington’s New European Concern

I am blessed, first to have the family that I do and the fact that I am probably one of the only men in Atlanta who does not have cable and who has never seen basketball house wives or whatever it is called. Meaning I have more time to read and think about issues that are often avoided in American mainstream media on either side of the isle.

Over the past few years, in particularly with the election of President Barack Obama and the growing European sovereign debt crisis, I have noticed some uneasy and troubling signings in world politics. I think the war on terror brought all to the surface and things have only continued to grow tenser.

For me it started in Finland, with the rise of the True Finns, the right-wing Populist Party who last April, won 19 percent of the vote in Finland. Also there was what happened in Austria when the far-right Freedom Party (FPO), was able to obtain 29 percent of the votes giving their leader; Heinz-Christian Strache (who has been campaigning for months to kick Greece out of the euro zone) is the second-strongest party in Austria and a hard-line neo-Nazi party that desires to legalize Nazi symbols and supports the open belief of scientific racism. Both are considered far right extremists whom politics focus on xenophobic and anti-Islam positions common to the right wing politics across Europe including the British Nationalist Party (BNP).

There are still other nations of concern. In Hungary, the Jobbik won nearly 17 percent of the 2010 vote, and is one of two leading opposition parties along with Fidesz, who won an overwhelming Parliamentary majority last year. The conservative Fidesz party of Prime Minister Viktor Orban has passed laws restricting civil rights and basic freedoms that go against the country's EU membership. In Denmark, the Danish People's Party is the nation's third largest political organization, and has pushed Denmark to adopt some of Europe's strictest immigration laws. The British National Party has a policy that restricts membership to 'indigenous British people'.

As, Europe falls back into depression, the rise of authoritarianism, fascism, and the hard right wing will continue to grow and become a thorn in the side of US political concerns, in particular how we deal with the impact of these changes to our economy in a global market place. The economy of Europe is in dire straits with little if any growth occurring and extremely high rates of unemployment.

Now the wave is continuing across Europe in two of the hardest hit by the recent sovereign debt crisis – Greece and France. In Greece, the Independents (right-wing) and the far-right Greek neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party will hold more than 50 seats in Parliament. This will be the first time in fifty years that the Golden Dawn party will enter parliament. Its leader, Nikolaos Michaloliakos and the party campaigned hard against illegal immigration, and its supporters wear black shirts, and its emblems resemble Nazi insignia. Both Greek party’s reject its bailout commitments and write off its debt.

In Greece, the party with the most seats is given the first opportunity to build a coalition government. It continues down the line based on number of members in party until each party is able to accomplish this. If it is not accomplished, the inability to secure a political majority to meet the terms of the second Greek bailout would likely result in a Greek exit from the EU and more financial trouble across the globe. This means that Greece has to approve more than 11 billion Euros in additional budget cuts by the end of June in order to receive the next round of bailout money. Seeing this is the sixth year of the nation’s economic contraction and no one wants to hear the word austerity we may as well expect them to be gone by all accounts.

Add to this the election of Socialist Francois Hollande in France. Like Greece who suggests that the election results are a referendum against German austerity policies, France election seems to show the same thing. However, the German government on Monday ruled out reworking the European Union’s fiscal pact despite request for such by French president-elect Francois Hollande. Hollande also states that he wants the very rich to pay 75 percent in income taxes and “plans to hike taxes on companies that distribute profits to shareholders instead of investing in their business.” Although he campaigned on being strong on anti-immigration, he has gone on record saying that he would give residency to illegal immigrants on a case-by-case basis. Hollande will be France’s first socialist president since 1995. His proposed policies as a consequence could have major implications for all of Europe.

If history is any indication political turmoil will only grow. Germany’s obsession with austerity and hard money if we recall, is one factor that resulted in the conditions that gave rise to Hitler. We have seen what extremes can occur in the case of Anders Behring Breivik – the self-proclaimed ‘counter-jihadist’. Breivik’s conservatism focused on a xenophobic hatred of Islam and of those groups, notably political parties like the Labor and Socialist Left parties that supported immigration and asylum laws increasing the European Islamic presence.

Washington has a serious problem. Tax increases I concert with sever austerity programs I Europe have brought the far right to the front in politics. Obama needs to take heed giving that he is taking the advice of Robert Reich and Paul Krugman, who both favor a large tax increase for the United States. Obama supports their endorsed a 70 percent top marginal tax rate but doing nothing to prevent the $494 billion tax increase set to occur automatically on January 1, 2013, when the Bush-era tax rates expire under current law. Europe’s difficulties are diametric opposition to the response of Washington. The recently proposed Obama budget will send the United States more deeply into debt.

Washington needs to pay attention and stop ignoring the seriousness and likely impact of what is happening in European fascist political rise on the US economy. For the reality is that a default by Greece or any other country in the 16-nation Eurozone would be potentially deadly not only for Europe, but America as well.

Where is Black Twitter? In the back of Twitter like the back of the bus

I first signed up for Twitter in 2006. I used it rarely as a means of contacting other bloggers. I left it alone for a while because all I shared was what I read in newspapers and my blog post. I didn’t like it at the time because in order to do such, I had to copy and paste, and that was time consuming. At first I followed other bloggers, but as the social outlet evolved, I began to follow less people and more news sources, publications and outlets. I really got involved when the tweet meme became prevalent and more common, allowing me to share what I read, as I did initially without actually going on twitter just by clicking on a little green button.

Twitter is a valuable tool and fits into the premonitions proffered by Gil Scott Heron when he orated that “You will not be able to lose yourself on skag and skip, /Skip out for beer during commercials, /because the revolution will not be televised.” For if there is to be another revolution, we have already seen the impact social media like twitter can play. In Egypt for example findings from the newly released second edition of the Arab Social Media Report by the Dubai School of Government provided empirical data that Twitter as well as facebook “abetted if not enabled the historic region-wide uprisings of early 2011.” Not to forget that use of social networking sites assisted in helping activist organize and bring attention to efforts that eventually led to the destruction of decades of autocratic rule in Egypt and Tunisia and publicity to public malcontent pertaining to the regimes in Syria, Libya, Yemen and Bahrain.

However, in other places, especially in my own back yard, twitter and social media is more of a toy that for a large corpus of users, especially my folk (African Americans) tend to misuse and/or ignore the maximum utility of Twitter; instead settling for mundane and vile uses that in most respects promulgate traditional stereotypical images of African Americans.

A study conducted by researchers at Northwestern University surveyed 505 college freshman in 2009 and 2010 revealed that 37.2 percent of black students used Twitter compared to 20.1 percent of their white counterparts did. Other research suggests that African Americans reportedly make up 25 percent of Twitter users and are responsible for a sizable proportion of its trending topics. By definition, trending topics are defined by Twitter as “new or newsworthy topics that are occupying the most people's attention on Twitter at any one time." This is accomplished by adding a hashtag (#) to a tweet to create the general them. Unfortunately, most of the trends one sees on Twitter are not news worthy at all. Some that I have seen include #itaintrape, #inaghettohouse , #HowYouAThug , #fatpeoplepasswords,#UNotFromTheHoodIf and as we speak, #What2ChainzWouldSay. If you cannot find these, you are probably in the wrong part of twitter, you have to go to a place that many refer to as “black twitter.”

I have wondered about this place. I could not find it anywhere in cyber space as if it had been sucked up by a black hole and turned into a white dwarf. But then I realized if it was anywhere, it would be in the back of twitter like the back of the bus, since most of the behavior is reminiscent of how Negroes behaved prior to the civil rights movement. One common proponent of the world of #blacktwitter is a visible preference for hogwash and prattle mainly manifested in the tendency to evince higher rates of interest in celebrity and entertainment news or overt violence directed toward others as a result of overzealous or sudorific twitter post and interaction.

For example, in black twitter (and this is a true story), it is not uncommon for people to have what they call #twitterbeefs. For lack of a better way to say it, a twitter beef is really mad cow disease in the form of 140 characters or less. Although I have names, I will not provide them but I can say it involved one woman placing a picture of another woman on twitter of her attempting to perform Fellatio on some nameless male. After words were exchanged across the distal temporality of cyberspace, this past week the other woman saw the young girl. She left the pickup game of basketball and beat the other child helpless – all while her associates watched and videoed the encounter and you guessed it – posted it on twitter. According to #blacktwitter the young woman is with child.

Now I did not ask to be in black twitter, but with the incessant retweets ( RT) that cloud the field, when one checks you are bound to see something that you did not sign up for. Most of what I follow now is news papers still, from central Asia, Central Europe, and African mostly, in concert with almost every political think tank around the globe. You may think I am over reacting and I know that many will have a problem with what I write because some folks do not want to hear the truth because it makes them examine their own delusions. Even if it involves #blacktwitter, a place where beef is as deadly as eating contaminated cow meat. A place similar to the twilight zone where folks will seemingly sale their souls for 140 characters post just to get a retweet and followers. Never is there any interest in community and collective empowerment or sharing information and/or knowledge for the betterment of all. No this is not what happens in #blacktwitter, just the opposite, what Dr. Martian Luther King, Jr. would describe as “a sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”

Is Obama King Leopold II Revisited

In Areopagitica, John Milton wrote: “Let truth and falsehood grapple: whoever knew truth, put to the worse, in a free and open encounter?”

He wrote this in either 1644 as an appeal to the English Parliament to end a political order that attempted and bring all publishing under control by official government censors (authors would submit their work for approval prior to having it published). It is a terse yet polemical parallel to the Areopagiticus of Isocrates and the story of the apostle Paul in Athens from Acts 17: 18-34. The first pertaining to the “degradation of the judges of the Court of the Areopagus, the highest court in Greece.” However, one can also apply this to political tyranny axiologically as well, in particular when it concerns facts as a function of political action and mandate.

Over the past few years, the Obama administration has increased rather aggressively its foot print, militarily in Africa. Under the guise of fighting for the righteous neoliberalim to defeat tyranny and kleptocratic rule in the name of democracy, the Obama administration has boldly implemented a path in Africa similar to those seen in past history. Especially that of King Leopold II (1835-1909).

In 1876, Belgium’s King Leopold II held a conference in Brussels in which he asserted that Western nations should establish an international benevolent committee for the propagation of civilization among the peoples of Central Africa (the Congo region). Between the years of 1878 to 1884, it resulted in an eventual Belgian sovereignty, in the Congo Basin. His primary objective was to exploit the lucrative ivory and rubber market in Central Africa. After proclaiming sovereign Belgium state rights, and via three successive decrees, Leopold asserted rights of proprietorship over all vacant lands throughout the Congo territory and reduced the rights of the Congolese in their land to native villages and farms. His goals were so colonialist and imperialistic that those who refused or failed to supply enough rubber often had their villages burned down, children murdered, and their hands cut off.

It is now 2012, and President Obama is seemingly on the same path. It started in Libya with a fake and non-extant humanitarian mission to protect the citizens of the oil-rich African nation. However it resulted in the merciless and brutal overthrow of a government and the death of a leader, Muammar Gaddafi who was making progress and vowed to create a 'United States of Africa' after his election as head of the African Union. Since last November, we have observed President Barack Obama send U.S. troops to Africa to help hunt down the leaders of the Lord's Resistance Army in and around Uganda. In his own words, Obama stated, “I believe that deploying these U.S. armed forces furthers U.S. national security interests and foreign policy and will be a significant contribution toward counter-LRA efforts in central Africa.” Ironic is just as Libya, Uganda is sitting on tons of oil. Oil exploration began in Uganda’s northwestern Lake Albert basin nearly a decade ago and according to estimates by the Energy Ministry, the African nation has over two billion barrels of oil. And as I wrote last October, “billionaire George Soros is a member of its executive board and personally, just recently recommended the U.S. deploy a special advisory military team to Uganda.”

In addition, in fall 2009, the Obama administration announced a security assistance package for Mali – valued at 4.5 to 5.0 million dollars – that included 37 Land Cruiser pickup trucks, communication equipment, replacement parts, clothing and other individual equipment and was intended to enhance Mali’s ability to transport and communicate with internal security forces throughout the country and control its borders. Plus, his recently passed NDAA contained $75 million in U.S. aid aimed at fighting in Somalia and arming forces, particularly from Uganda and Burundi, as well as the armies of Djibouti, Kenya and Ethiopia.

Over the past few weeks, after the coup in the West African country of Mali, it has been uncovered that the leader Capt. Amadou Haya Sanogo, who led a renegade military faction that deposed Mali’s democratically elected president, has been in the United States several times to receive professional military education and training. Although official Obama administration doesn’t support the overthrow of the formerly elected leader and that the U.S. Africa Command has suspended military cooperation with Mali, U.S. military personnel continue to deploy to Mali in part of a so-called Joint Planning Assistance Team.

I can go on with more, but such is not the case. The goal is to point out, as Milton asserted that when “truth and falsehood” do battle, truth always wins “in a free and open encounter.”This part of a total plan hatched by the Obama administration. We know that he has sent military advisors which are still on the ground in Nigeria and have had them there since 2009. And I find it ironic that our first African American President would be the one, as Leopold did, to establish a permanent US military beach head in Africa, for the advancement of a long-range Anglo-American geopolitical agenda for Africa.

The query is does it serve our best interest? Is it for the benefit of Africa or is it to challenge China’s economic interests in Africa? Or is it to reinvigorate the west past preoccupation with raping Africa for its resources for other plutocratic interest? In the past there were for human resources mainly for the utility of mining and slavery, today they are natural resources in the name of Oil, gold, diamonds, nickel, palladium, copper, zinc, silver or others? I am just asking, we already have US special forces and other military personnel on the ground in five African nations and that’s just on the record.

If my postulate is true and the aforementioned is even remotely plausible, then we should get ready for more famine, death, disease and all as the result of contrived wars in the name on benevolence as suggested by Leopold or national security as detailed by President Obama. Simple fact is that one cannot have either benevolence or security when the outcome is poverty, genocide and morbidity.

Why Romney’s Hair Doesn’t Move and Congress Kleptocratic Rule

In all honesty, Mitt Romney and the current cast of GOP caricatures remind me of a 1970s bad Kung Fu movie. Now we can outline all of Romney’s flaws and problems and even place in the open field for all to examine. But it will not make a difference objectively, for most folk, especially white ones. Likewise, we all know that the GOP traditionally is the party of white folks and it will always be such. And even though they know in their hearts and minds that Romney is dumb as a door knob, they will still vote for him even knowing you cannot trust a man’s who hair never moves.

The last part is the kicker. The election of Barack Obama was a Damascene Moment for the Republicans similar to what happened to Paul of Tarsus on his journey to Damascus. It was a call to arms for white folk especially in the GOP, to come to grips with the fact they had taken the most powerful position, the Presidency of the United State for granted assuming it would always be held by a white man or woman. They just assumed that he or she would always be a white Anglo Saxon protestant. Now they are upset: the au
dacity for Black folk to have a president that looks like them at the head of our table.

Much of the disdain has to do with nothing regarding policy, which is too bad. There are serious policy concerns with all elected officials, but the GOP seems not to take this position. Which I do not blame them since it would show their limited knowledge on history.

We cannot forget that this is the party of John Raese a very rich cat Republican trying to win the West Virginia senate seat after three losses and who openly compares anti-smoking regulations to the holocaust. The party of Ted Nugent, the washed-up rocker who while at the National Rifle Association convention in St. Louis stated “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November; again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year." In 2008, Nugent, said “Obama, he's a piece of sh**. I told him to suck on my machine gun.” Plainly stated, knowing in America, particularly politics, that race maintains a major role. Historically, white voters have tended to lean Republican while non-whites have been strongly Democratic.

It is difficult to get out of doing all that is unpopular and against common sense and collective community well-being. Earlier this year we saw house Republicans propose cuts to nutrition assistance that will kick 280,000 low-income children off automatic enrollment in the Free School Lunch and Breakfast Program. Now the latest Republican plan in an effort to keep defense spending from being reduced makes even more reductions from that assist the poor and Americans still trying to regain ground from the recession. They have target 300 billion in cuts over 10 years, which includes slashing benefits under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP( $78 billion) and also by Another way Republicans want to save money on food stamps is by restricting automatic eligibility for those already qualified for another program. The GOP also desire to end "Heat and Eat," which they say is a loophole: It allows states to boost SNAP enrollees' benefit amounts if they're receiving heating assistance to between $1 or $5 checks. Ending the program would save $14.3 billion over 10 years. This in addition to what April 18 the House Agriculture Committee did when they passed a bill cutting over $33 billion from SNAP over the next decade.

Their plan of attack is Kleptocratic in nature which I will explain in detail later. They will say that the Obama administrations is corrupt and use Solyndra as a scandal, yet ignore the GOP scandals of the past like the Tea Pot Dome Scandal (1921) the oil reserve scandal that began during the Republican administration of President Harding. Or the Credit Mobilier scandal of 1873 pertaining to the Illegal manipulation of construction contracts for the Union Pacific Railroad.

Then there is the over regulation argument. That democrats want more regulations that get in the way and mess things up. Yet they don’t say anything about and decides it makes conveniently good sense to forget about the Federal Meat Inspection Act of 1906, occurring under the Republican President Theodore Roosevelt and Charles Patrick Neill, the United States Commissioner of Labor in 1906 that required the government inspect all meat, food products and Examine “all animals before slaughtering; diseased animals slaughtered separately and carcasses examined.” Then there was the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act of 1938, which eliminated the ‘distinctive name proviso’ and required instead that the label of a food ‘bear its common or usual name’. The food would be misbranded if it represented itself as a standardized food unless it conformed to that standard. A principal author of this law was Republican Royal S. Copeland, a three-term U.S. Senator from New York.

It clear reason is because Romney has no clue, which still won’t be that much of a problem for him. Although Romney is not providing a plan with specific steps to solve the problems, he just says he wants folk out of the way, a reflection of past Republican beliefs of recent decades with are in contradiction of Republican Progressives of 75 and 100 years ago. He has, in concert with his colleagues in the Congress have not acceded one idea we have not seen different than what George W. Bush implemented. Such is a scary proclamation because if Romney fails to reclaim the White house for the GOP, we can only anticipate more intolerant obstructionism. These folks don’t get that envy is not the same as being concerned about inequality. Romney as well as the typical GOP support ignore the obvious and have no patience with history or documented truisms. For example, they are enamored with Rep. Paul Ryan's House budget resolution but ignore that in his home state of Wisconsin, the child poverty rate increased 42 percent from 2000 to 2010.

A reason for this like i said is the GOP's inherent "whiteness."  From their opposition in concert with democrats in 1964 to the Civil Rights Act and the incessant focusing on racially charged issues such as immigration and affirmative action, or even topics like abortion and contraception, they will try to enhance his position with the mostly white base of the party.

Actions that have the capacity to legitimize hate in the eyes of some people and appeal to the likes of the white supremacist psychopath who shot up the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC in 2009, or the Pittsburgh gunman that same year, 23 year old Richard Poplawski, who wearing a bulletproof vest that gunned down and killed three police officers and was a white supremacist who confessed disdain for President Obama. And I could go on. They on the one hand complain because Obama goes to Harvard but say nothing to the fact that Romney attended Harvard as well and obtained not only an MBA but a law degree. They avoid dealing with the exploding cost of food or real problems and focus their energy on birth certificates.

The kind of leadership we are getting from the GOP in the congress is kleptocratic if anything and Romney will continue in this vein. The put in place very inefficient economic policies while taking from the people and making themselves wealthy for their own personal consumption. As it has been noted this is done by a "divide-and-rule" strategy. This is the Republican way.

Romney speaks of an America driven by freedom, a place in which folk chase and create their own vision of happiness. But It is hard for one to expect that this vision includes me, especially from a former Morman Bishop that ignores the historical reality of America 2012 – a world that is not post racial but rather supra racial as a direct function of GOP political locution. The reality is that his America is different from ours. His and the congress is one that consist of supporters that have ancestry who likely participated in the Memphis massacre (1866), the Houston massacre (1917), Elaine, Arkansas (1919), the Omaha Race massacres (1919), the Tulsa Race massacre (1921),the Rosewood massacre (1923), the East St. Louis massacre (1917), and many others across the nation. All of which were the results of African Americans exercising freedom to prosper and rumors of black men interacting, raping, looking or touching white women. Why, because for more than 70 years, the foundation of the Republican Party has been and will continue to be the white vote, and those states representative of the old Confederacy - Southern whites.

If Romney wins, this is America’s future, and it is hard for the life of me to try and understand that folk would hate a person because of his ethnicity that bad to place the worse possible candidate in office to replace him? I guess it must be yes.

House Bill H.R. 3 Punishes Victims of Rape and Disproportionately Impacts African American Women

Rape is one of the most heinous crimes an individual can commit, specifically as attack on women. Unfortunately it seems that the majority male dominated Republican members of the US House of Representatives do not consider Rape as an unconscionable act.

Last May, the U.S. Congress passed the Republican proposed H.R.3, the “No Taxpayer Funding
for Abortion Act.” To state it lucidly plane, it is an anti-choice bill that some have even described as being “pro-rape.” In essence, the GOP in the House have via law, legislated a mandate rooted in Christian dogma that abortion is a sin. H.R. 3, although labeled as an anti-abortion bill, contains a provision that says rape had to be “forced,” as if there can be any other kind of rape. In addition, it contains provisions that allows for the IRS to monitor and audit all public and private attempts to fund abortions even in the case of both of rape and incest, something that will be in a position to have a major impact on African American women subject to domestic and sexual abuse and assault.

Although about 80% of all victims are white, African American women are raped and more likely to be attacked than any other ethnic group. Moreover, children are at risk. In 2000, nearly 88,000 children in the United States experienced sexual abuse. According to the Violence Against Women, Report published by the Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. Dept. of Justice 18% are black and around fifty percent of all rape victims are in the lowest third of income distribution. The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) African American students are significantly more likely than white students to have been forced to have sexual intercourse.

According to medical reports, the incidence of pregnancy for one-time unprotected sexual intercourse is 5% which equals more than 3200 pregnancies that occur as a result of rape.

The main sponsor of the bill was Chris Smith (R-NJ). The bill obtained support and votes from all except five Republicans who were not in attendance for the vote in addition to sixteen democrats. However, what the Bill ignores is that although rape is about forcing sex on an unwilling individual, it does not always have to involve brute force. It can also be accomplished by making a victim physically unable to resist via alcohol or drugs, or the threat of force. It can also be accomplished by emotionally manipulating helpless children or adults who may have diminished mental capacities, or in the example of inmates, where there is an imbalance of power as in the case of guards vs. inmates.

Plans for Commerce Dept. to Create Internet ID for All Americans

In 2009, President Barack Obama proposed the need for sweeping changes in the manner in which the government could have control over the nation’s internet. The general premise was that security of the internet was of utmost importance in our nation’s national security. At the time, a proposed Senate bill would offer President Obama emergency control of the Internet and may give him a "kill switch" to shut down online traffic by seizing private networks. Details of what is now called the Cyber security Act of 2009 emerged after an initial version authored by Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.V., was described by internet corporations and scientist as being a dangerous government intrusion.

The original bill gave the president to essentially turn off the Internet in the case of a 'cyber-emergency,' which they didn't define. Moreover, at his discretion, he could force private companies tied to the Web, including Internet service providers and search engines, to take action by cutting off their connections to the World Wide Web for up to 30 days. As usual, it was given little attention by major news organizations.

Now, President Obama is giving the U.S. Commerce Department the authority over a cyber-security effort to create an Internet ID for all Americans according to a White House spokesperson and Cyber security Coordinator Howard Schmidt. The announcement was made at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, where U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and Schmidt spoke.

Called the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke stated that the program will be introduced by the president in the next few months.

Although Locke indicated that they were "not talking about a national ID card" or a “government-controlled system”, it is difficult to see how such would be different from what he described. As of now, little if any information is available on the "trusted identity" project. What is known and speculated is that it will be a smart card or digital certificate that would prove that online users are who they say they are. These digital IDs would be offered to consumers by online vendors for financial transactions.

The questions remain however. Will internet users have complete anonymity and pseudonymity as they do currently if desired? Will this be contained in a secret or hidden a centralized database? The Obama administration has been pushing this since he took office. It is just interesting how much importance are being places on security and defense, in particularly directed toward US Citizens in light of his recent signing into law the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012. It seems as if the federal government is more threaten by the liberty and freedom of its citizens more than others.
