It is not hard to find hard-core criticism floating through the air like pollen regarding our nation’s first African American president. Some of which is deserved, most of which is not and is simply, colloquially speaking, hating. The overwhelming corpus of which comes from Republicans on the far and middle right.
This is more than obvious — so obvious, in fact, that many on the right have manifested behaviors reflective of the tenets espoused by Freud when he discussed defense mechanisms.
From extreme projection (in which a person lacks consciousness of their own thoughts and ascribes those unconscious thoughts to others), to denial (refusal to accept external reality because it is too threatening), everything this segment of the political spectrum says is targeted towards Obama. Now some would say it is politics as usual, but I disagree with that assertion.
Recently, right-wing radio talk-show host Laura Ingraham stated that first lady Michelle Obama's Whitehouse garden was a "left-wing plot."
Glenn Beck, in a similar vein, speaking about the outfit the first lady wore to her visit to the Gulf, described it as an "outrage."
It is difficult to empirically understand such comments since they have nothing to do with the real political issues at hand. It can simply be reduced to behavioral neuroses that are rooted in America's steep tradition of racial vilification, which traditionally manifests in personal attacks and demonization.
The reality is that the GOP is out of ideas, and rather than thinking about solving the nation's problems, would rather stoke over-the-top paranoia, which if history is any indication, often results in violence. Just ask anyone who had dogs released on them, water from a fire hose sprayed on them, or anyone with a family member hung from a tree or dragged from a truck.
Insanity is a serious and debilitating condition that disrupts one's capacity to function within the legal limits of society, which results in both a deranged mind and (too) many times, a tragic outcome.

Tell that to the Indians

I found myself LMBAO at what I was seeing in between her shows, which included mostly news channels on cable television. Especially the theatrical circus that has a many pundits hyper ventilating over the proposed health care conundrum. Strange first because there is nothing in writing to discuss which for me makes the discussion more akin to arguments over whether or not there is a Santa.
Then there are the other others inside the belt way folk, who are the equally subordinates to republicans and democrats which we refer to as the media. Namely news commentators. Looking at the tube with my mom, there seemed to be a common theme of expression, from Lou Dobbs, to Rush Limbaugh to Sean Hannity, that “this is not the America I know and/or grew up in. I even heard one woman on one of the news clips of a selected town hall meeting saying that she wanted her America back and even cried.

Now all of this is entertaing as well as said. For the flames being fanned are not productive and don’t lead to a civil disuccion, even if it was about whether or not there is a Santa. Glen Beck took this even further, asserting that the reason for Obama’s economic and health reform can be reduced to the single issue of reperations. Now do not get me wrong, I think legitimate issues on health care and the econmy exist and merit serious discussion, but only with respect to implementation ans how it will be funded, but that is all. It is not like 50 or 60 million uninsured folks can just up and kill 50 or 60 million insured folks.
The strange thing is that these pundits and news commentators are the main ones who tout that now we live in a post racial America humbug. Just look at recent events at some of the twon hall meets, albeit isolated where folks bring pistols, and with one man, Richard Terry Young, 62, being arrested in Portsmouth, NH for carrying an unregistered weapon to as forum where the President was scheduled to speak. I even heard Lou Dobbs defend this mans right to carry a weapon. I agree but unregistered and around the President of the United States of America, lets me know how much of a nut case Lou Dobbs is. I mean the white folk I know don’t behave like this, just the ones I have see paraded at these town hall meetings. I mean, I want my America back; I say tell that to the Indians.

What dressing u want

2 points of order before I post this. 1] No super tuesday stuff (nor will i speak on service sector index drop-recession) and 2[ shouts out to V. Anthony Rivers and his Black History month post. chk it out.
Man, your folk here has lost complete respect for Lou Dobbs tonight. I used to listen to him and his drive towards dealing with illegal immigration in America. But tonight, folks got his panties pulled up his booty crack and got defensive.
I mean Janet Murguia put it down. She is the current La Raza President and CEO. I mean she made me see that Lou did not ever, really distinguish from Illegal and legal immigrants, He even tried to refute FBI and department of justice statistics showing an increase in hate crimes against immigrants, Hispanics, Latinos.
What upset me was when he made it into an attack on him, when the entire time she said Networks, all networks, not CNN alone. It was as if he was upset when she documented Dobbs paraded on television, people that belonged to white supremacy groups. I figure if they did, they did. Then he tried to say that since she could only go back to 2006, that it was not important, when he himself use info over the years (with immigration and te Iraq war) to buttress his positions.
She said Glen Beck, Pat Buchanan and others did the same. That he had used the individuals 18 times on TV and CNN 48 times for having folks own who parody hate speech. I don’t think. He tried to make it an issue of the 2007 Comprehensive Immigration Bill (S.1348). Dobbs was so caught on his high horse, that he ignored the issue. Hers was hate speech. All slim wanted to talk about was hate speech, and how he and his network put representatives of hate speech, on at primetime and that we should hold networks accountable for putting them on the air. And what made me mad, was that he considered the Southern Poverty Law Center as unreputable when I know they have documented more lynchings and hate groups than the FBI. That lost a big point from me, since I am sure he would be the least likely person to be dragged from a car that I can think of.
But that was cool, I mean I seen dogs running with he tails between their legs. But during the next segment, that bitch nigga (Lou Dobbs) had the nerve to query, is that where we have come to in politics, pandering to individuals groups as opposed to the populous? I mean, I am a member of the NRA, but I hope he don’t think we represent the America Collective. Dang, I mean he study media, he should at least know as a politrixter, you cant talk to Jews and African Americans and high school college students at the same time. I mean, what history has he studied, it has always been about white identity politics. The never cared before, and i'm still waiting to see u Dobbs or CNN or FOX, or MSNBC ask a white candidate about carrying the white vote. Mr. Dobbs, I just want to say, America is like any reasturant we go to, thank goodness they ask us, what dressing we want before they just dump anything on our salad. Dang Lou, you sounded like Billyboy from FOX.
