It was "Gone With the Wind" for me, too. I was nine years old and bought a copy for 50 cents at a garage sale. Then I think it was Beverly Cleary next. And the Nancy Drew books, which, while not truly romances, seemed romantic to me at the time. From there it was on to the modern school of historical romance, including our very own Amanda Quick. order an essay what fun remembering!
