If I am not mistaken, it seems as if the past, that horrible past that once draped America as a Nation based on race has returned. Maybe it has never left; maybe it has just been cloaked behind the smiles and eyes of its citizenry.

So much attention is directed toward anti-immigration, ant-Muslim and even anti-black that it is just ridiculous. I just wish folk were able to man up and say how they feel. The fact is that fear is a function of not understanding what is different. And as long as we have had people from Europe living in this great nation we have seen fear. Fear against the Native Americans which they infected with disease and stole their land to the fear against African slaves, who they felt inherently would seek revenge for their cruel and unusual treatment of humans they selected to perceived to be less than such.

There was even the fear of their own kind, when the first anti-immigrant fervor hit the nation in the 1840s. Then under the guise of nativism, vehement protest was rampant as immigration from Europe increased. The simple fact is that the Tea Party is no different than the Order of United Americans and the Order of the Star-Spangled Banner organizations that arose more than 160 years ago due to the unfounded fear that the country was being overwhelmed by German and Irish Catholic immigrants, who were perceived to be contrary to Anglo-Saxon values.

Now just as then, felt resentment at the new arrivals and became known as nativists. Through violent protest and clashes were the result occurring cities across the nation. Their rhetoric, as is the rhetoric of the Tea Party was used to inflame and for the abutment of division. For the assertion that the Tea Party is diverse or seeks diversity is just PR and like saying the Council of Conservative Citizens wants to have some black folk under their sheets.

So what is it that makes racism appealing to some on the extreme right and some in the Tea party? What is that would make the common person support a GOP congressional candidate like Rich Lott, who intentionally wears and poses in a Nazi uniform? Is this what the Tea Party endorses, for if it is, I can see no difference in Lott wearing this than a white robe and hood, regardless of the reason?

I mean why would a man want to dress up or be associated with participating in historical re-enactments that promulgate a racial crusade to rid the world of subhuman’s, which is both the historical truth that the Germans then and the Klan today purport.

As opposed to fighting bigotry and hatred it seems retro chic to support it. But then again what could one expect, since most do not know that Neo-Nazis started the Tea-Party movement. Yes they in concert with the Limbaugh’s and the Glenn Becks of the world have taken Hitler’s message well because the way I see it, the Republican Party is building its political future on the bigotry and divisiveness of the Tea Party movement. Just as in Hitler’s time, when the German economy was stalled and saddled with the debt of World War I and Bismarck, new American like Nazis are now taking advantage of Americans economic woes and high unemployment, so it is easier to by scape- goat African, immigrants, Muslims, gays and Jews, thus their appeal with white supremacists, the Christian identity movement and white nationalists.

The sad reality is that white supremacists sees Tea Parties as an entry into mainstream American politics and their best way to get what they really want, a Hitler-like nationalistic racist leader that places the good of white Anglo Saxon protestants first above all people. They desire an American for whites and people of European descent only and preferably only Christians with no integration and mixing of the race. The want what Hitler said he would promise the true and pure Nordic Germanic races – Work, Bread and Honor.

Alright, folk back to thought criming. I first found about the invasion of Georgia by Russia two Thursdays ago. I found out from reading one of my daily’s, the Turkish Daily news, which is listed on my blog under news in right side bar which I read everyday. Started reading it daily about 4 years ago to keep tabs on the US and Turkey and the Kurds. I wanted to write about it then but the scholar in Jones wouldn’t let me for I felt there was a bigger picture with respect to history and the future. I was trying to wait to see how BO and JM would respond; I wanted to see if they had a firm understanding of the history associated with this conundrum; I desired to see if they would actually show the ability to think on this REAL BIG PROBLEM or would they just recant what their handlers told them to say. Was disappointed for the latter is all jones here got.

I know that Georgia is very important as a transit point for bringing gas and oil in from the east to the west. I also suspect that this was clearly calculated and part of the Russian foreign policy. It would not even surprise me if they gave folk who decided to break away from Georgia, the leader of South Ossetia, a fat crib and some confiscated oil loot. But that’s how folk here think. Most of Russia’s wealth comes from natural gas to Europe and their gas reserves have been declining if you aint know.

But McCain and Obama don’t seem to grasp the entirety of the situation. I mean, Russia is the new King of Geopolitical warfare. - a term i first read in 2005. When Russia cut off gas supplies to Ukraine in 2006-07, over pricing disputes, there were shortages throughout Europe the next day. So much so that Hungary, Austria, Slovakia and Serbia was about to implement gas rationing.

We know what oil is doing, but check this, Russia's Gazprom seems to have got the $230 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas it demanded out of Ukraine, when they got $50 the year before – can you say hustle? See Russia wants to control export routes all through that region, especially on as regarding oil and any natural resource coming from the Caspian Sea – mean them folks (and I aint mad) want toVicktor VonDoom the region and be an energy super power. And for the lame, the only pipeline which by passes Russia and takes oil from Caspian sea to rest of world is in Georgia– thus why they ganked navel ports. Now, aint much reported in America, not even of post communist countries standing with Georgia

Ukraine, Poland, Baltic countries. Likewise, that’s why I figure the two jones runni9ng for President aint got an inkling of understanding about what I’m looking at as a layman and a mutha fucka who aint as smart as them. But I will say one thang, it is obvious they aint ever read the agreement Condi and the west took to Georgia to sign. I read it and folk here aint running for president. And what I read is scary and reminds me of the Munich Agreement of 1938.

No room for international monitors, its like it was when Hitler took over Europe. When Hitler came to power in 1933, everything he did was basically design to change the shit that hit Germany via the Treaty of Versailles. From getting Brittan to not restrict German navel expansion to getting pro-Nazi elements among the Czech Germans to want tot secede from Czechoslovakia, This led Nazi aggression and a world war.

Now yawl jones running for president, Obama and McCain, I don’t claim to be as smart or well read as yawl, but I aint stupid either folk. Yawl aint read the agreement, yawl don’t understand history, yawl puppets regardless of party affiliation and folk here don’t follow the lame. Not to mention I always wanted to be Dr. Victor Von Doom (intelligence 7 out of 7 in Marvel Universe), never no super hero. Still U.S. ing

For those of you who don’t know, I used to teach ancient African History. Although it was supposed to start from 200 B.C.E. (before Christian Europe) to 1100 A.C.E. (after Christian Europe), I started it during the time of the Djebel Ouenat carvings in Libya during the Upper Paleolithic age as well with a brief introduction of the Gloger Law. If you are not familiar with the latter, simply stated it postulates that warm-blooded animals need to be pigmented in hot climates. This means as a primer, folk started the class with a brief overview of the origin of man from homo habilis to Homo erectus to Homo sapiens sapiens.

I did this although my main interest in history was during the periods of colonialism and slaver (of which a lot seems to over lap). Slavery for me holds both emotion and disdain. I was even asked and authored several historical pieces for the World Enclycopedia of slavery. Particularly on the punishment of slaves , the Kansas Nebrask Act and Church Schisms Slavery. I can’t see for the life of me how a group of folk can be so lazy and evil to place another (with or without their assistance) in bondage. It just confuses the shit out of me. Moreover, it really trips me out how some may suggest that it was not “that” bad, or that it is over and happened hundreds of years ago. Such a position pisses me the fuck off too.

It is as if they don’t see capitalism and racism as being the same thing as formulated in slavery. It is as if they don’t see how years of perpetual servitude without profit can have a devastating impact on the psyche, soul and more importantly pocket of the one enslaved. I really would love to see someone today work for Sears, or Wachovia or U.S. Steel for their entire life and not receive a penny, get am benefit or pension from said years of effort.

The way I see it, the proclamation announced by Lincoln really did not free the descendants of Africa. Sure it enabled them to move away from pimps called slave masters, but it was not freedom. For freedom has to be pursued aggressively. It is like Julius K. Nyerere said “Freedom to many means immediate betterment, as if by magic. Unless I can meet at least some of these aspirations, my support will wane and my head will roll just as surely as the tickbird follows the rhino.”

It was really, as Douglass Blackmon called it a new time and more so the start of the “Age of Neoslavery.” A period where folks could still enjoy slave labor without the title of “slavery” attached. Just as the Jim Crow laws or the Black Code statutes passed to maintain white control after the Civil War, today, the same form of slavery exist except with out the chains, torture and punishment. Just as then, current laws are designed and put in place to intimidate African Americans, namely males because they were able to do rigorous free labor.

Yes I am talking about prison, and really since the freedom of slaves. But this is not important, because it is over and it had no impact on the current condition of Africans in America today. But I bet if you asked U.S. Steel, Tennessee Coal (Pratt Coal & Coke Co.), the Georgia and Alabama Railroad, U.S. Pipe & Foundry (Jim Walter Corp/ Walter Industries) or Sloss-Sheffield Steel & Iron Co among a lot of other major corporations that I won’t name, they aint willing to give back the money they stacked as a function of free labor. But then again it was prison labor; labor not protected by the Fair Labor-Standards Act. Just as today, a many folk end up in prison due to stupid shit that is exacerbated by ridiculous sentences and ridiculous fines. It just seems that it is deliberately directed mathematically disprotinatelly to African Americans, and it amazes me how folks can even say that the insidious legacy of racism called slavery doesn't reverberates today.

Yep, convict leasing is still really real, but no longer in the South, as in days of old but rather nation wide. They don’t keep records anymore, but back in the day it was estimated that the Alabama's forced-labor system made $17 million for the state government alone (about 250 million in today's dollars).

My thing is this, if it was not cool for Hitler to force Jews to work in a similar form, and they were awarded loot for making German corporations rich, why the double standard? As far as I am concernd, U.S. Steel is still using us, i mean they still making profit of tha loot, aint they, like the others. I’m through.
