yes, officer, that's him...but i don't think he meant to shoot that white man in da head...well... perhaps...uhh... but, i ain't seen him lately so, i don't know where he be at right now...
The eye is first drawn to the color, starting from the rifle and then dropping to the shoelaces and then sideways to the green of the back of the seat. In so doing the title is made almost invisible. The pose seems just that, a pose and not a natural position. To have your free hand in your pocket with the rifle over your shoulder seems contrived. You've looked better in other pictures. As an aside, the mass mailing, put the email addresses in a bcc please, if for nothing else than a courtesy to the ladies. Thanks in advance.
Yo, I like it homey. The title needs to be brought out a little. Maybe a little color in the leaves or trees to bring it out more. The rifle behind your head definitley signifies "Dirt Behind My Ears." It probably wont make Oprah's book club though! LOL! Like Dr. Phil aint got dirt behind his ears!
good looking peggy and smoove, hey peggy, when is the next movie coming out, u know i want to be an actor - evil villian lex luthor like if possible - lol
I like it because it's original and will draw a browsing reader's attention. It's not the same old boring clip art. Although, the picture screams: "You ain't dating my daughter boy!"
Mr. Stephens, I think the cover is a CLASSIC, absolutely riveting; a perfect combination of Post-Modernistic Impressionism, with a very STRONG emphasis on Classical Imagery.....The Color combinations, combined with the subject matter takes the Image over the TOP!
Damn, Homie, I like that! I'm not as sophisticated as everyone else, but it works. I'm a layman on book covers, but it catches the eye, catches my attention. The title and the gun behind your ear go together...lol. T, did you grow up in Orange Mound or South Memphis?...lol... Peace
The whole image/cover/gun/splashes of color/facial expression speaks RAW! and peaks my interest. I'm thinking....whatever this brother has to say has to be deep, inciteful and disturbing. (lol)
Hey T, I generally like the cover but I agree that the title needs to be brought out more and I didn't know if you were holding a green ball or what. It doesn't actually look like the back of the chair, so maybe it can be touched up a bit to look like the Earth or something. Come and see my show in Atlanta on March 24 at the Emory Conference Center for the 10th Annual National Black Herstory Conference. You're all invited! holla! dr. g
THe cover is cool. It makes one think what you are writing about. Another thing bring the title out more. I like the colors though, and Dirt behind my ears, could represent trouble, problems, anger, etc with that gun.
I have alot of raunchy ideas for the cover but my sense of humor may offend some, so I'll tell you later. I would like to see more images of you before you decide on that pic the title of the book should be bolder and in color. I would love to take the picture of you over, I have some ideas for you!

I want sarcastic and asked, "Are you serious?" What's with the gun in a urban park?" (If that's where you are.)
It is different. Some balance of color or something is needed. The pic distracts from the title and vice versa if ya feel me.
I like it, the color scheme is hot but dang, what happen to the automatic?...too many suckers to shoot one at a time.
that is on my land sylvia, i own an 11 acre farm
I like the cover, but I do agree the the title of the work is not what pops off the page. I don't know if that was the intent.

T, I don't like the gun, get rid of it! But rest is ok, more color will add more balance to the picture.

Hey Torrance. The book cover is cool, I like it. The title and the pic hints at many of social issues. Good pic!!!

i think you should add the rusty barbecue grill to the background and a dog...now that's the southern way!
otherwise, it's a classic!

I like the Feel, but can't say the look, the execution leaves a lil sumptin sumptin to be desired.
